- Conduct thorough screenings and initial interviews to assess candidate qualifications, skills, and cultural fit.
- Source candidates through multiple channels – often the best candidates are the ones not actively looking.
- Meet with hiring managers to discuss headcount, new requisitions, hiring strategy, and/or interview feedback – you are a partner to your hiring managers and teams. Leave no hiring manager stranded in the process.
- Discuss candidates you have screened with your hiring managers and recommend top candidates for interviews.
- Create and implement a proactive, compelling, forward-looking recruiting strategy to attract the best talent and bring the best candidates to Venus Aerospace.
- Continuously improve our recruiting process.
- Understand the strategic and financial impact of hiring decisions and be a source of that understanding to others.
- Manage and support reporting, data, and analytics to help the company understand its hiring status and needs.
- Attend interviews alongside your client groups, as needed, to act as another set of eyes and ears in evaluating candidates.
- Manage and facilitate hiring team preparation and debrief sessions.
- Create, implement, and demonstrate great recruiting practices with hiring managers and teams.
- Coordinate candidate onsite interviews and travel arrangements, in accordance with Venus guest and travel policies.
- Coordinate with people operations to ensure the offer and onboarding process goes smoothly.
- Ensure all recruitment activities comply with relevant employment laws and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records in real-time in our applicant tracking system (ATS), providing reports on recruitment metrics as needed.
What You Have:
- 15+ years’ experience souring, recruiting, and closing top tier technical and leadership talent - a mix of startup, agency, and corporate experience is required.
- 3+ years search engine optimization experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in non-standard recruiting methods and finding unique methods to identify and engage with highly sought after talent.
- Comprehensive knowledge of various recruiting tools such as applicant tracking systems, social media platforms, Boolean searches etc.
- In-depth knowledge of aerospace functions and roles including engineering skill sets in avionics, propulsion, systems, software, hardware, manufacturing, and operations.
- Ability to work autonomously but also effectively with teams, especially in a start up aerospace environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment classifications.
- Ability to prioritize and set expectations in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to distinguish between the top 50% and the top 5% of talent within candidates’ respective fields.
- Comfortable with effectively interfacing directly with and providing honest, direct feedback to hiring managers including VP level technical leaders.
- Strong communication skills, including following up with candidates, hiring managers and hiring teams to ensure an effective hiring process and positive candidate experience.
- Ability to manage confidential information.
- Ability to build strong, effective relationships with both hiring managers and candidates.
- Adept at G-suite and Lever or Greenhouse.
- If remote or hybrid - ability to be onsite quarterly or more frequently as needed.
What Will Set You Apart:
