We’re currently growing our team of Artisans with a Technical Marketing Content Creator. The Technical Marketing Content Creator is focused on creating engaging and informative content that establishes our brand as a thought leader in the industry and drives customer engagement through high-quality content. This position reports to the Senior Marketing Specialist and collaborates closely with our Business Development team and business line leaders.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Develop high-quality, technically accurate, and engaging content for use across various marketing channels including but not limited to:
o Digital (Websites, Blog Posts, Presentations, Social Media)
o Case Studies, Whitepapers, Conference Abstracts
o Campaigns
o Collateral (Brochures, One Pagers)
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop content that is visually appealing and effectively communicates key messages.
· Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products, services, and target audiences to create content that addresses their needs and translates into clear, concise, and easy-to-read messages.
· Review and edit content to ensure clarity, technical accuracy, and adherence to brand voice across all platforms and channels.
· Incorporate SEO best practices into content creation to improve search engine rankings and increase organic traffic.
· Identify content gaps and opportunities to create new content that drives engagement.
· Contribute to the development and execution of the content strategy, aligning with overall marketing goals and objectives.
· Work with External Communication Specialist to ensure RTI’s library of marketing content is up to date, accelerating the deployment of material.
· Stay up-to-date with marketing and industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge in content creation and continuously improve delivery methods.
· Collaborate with third-party marketing partners to support deliverables as needed.
· Assist with Summit execution (once a year, all-Artisan event) to meet objectives for connection, including client engagement.
Supervisory Responsibilities
May supervise intern or part time support.
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field.
· 3 - 5 years of technical writing or content creation, preferably in an oil and gas or B2B technology-focused environment.
· Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
· Proven writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen attention to detail.
· Exceptional ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging content.
· Excellent leadership skills including influencing, coaching, and the ability to work cross-functionally.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
· Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience incorporating them into content creation.
· Experience with digital marketing tools, such as CRM, SEO, SEM, and social media management platforms (HubSpot and Salesforce).
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, etc).
· Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
· Ability to analyze content performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to improve content effectiveness.
· Passion for culture, people, engagement strategies, and improvement!
Working Conditions / Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the Artisan regularly works in an office setting.
Ability to lift 15-30 pounds as needed when moving mail, business files and/or papers. Long hours on our feet for events!
Travel Requirements
This position needs to connect with Artisans in all offices, virtually and in person. Travel for events is likely and varied. Average travel less than 10 days.
NOTE: Support Center Artisans are working a hybrid schedule. 3 days/week in the office and 2 days/week at home. However, several weeks require multiple days in the office (e.g. New Hire Orientation week, Summit, etc.). Supervisors should desire to be in the office frequently in support of their people and internal customers. This job requires active engagement with people in the office.
