About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide support to our CEO and enhance our organizational effectiveness. This role combines strategic executive support, business operations management, and HR coordination in a mission-driven environment. The ideal candidate will serve as the CEO's right hand—anticipating needs, managing complex priorities, and extending leadership capacity while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. This position requires a proactive self-starter who thrives in a dynamic setting, finds fulfillment in behind-the-scenes support, and demonstrates exceptional organizational and communication skills. This role is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position.
Salary Range: $60,000 – $75,000 (A note on salary: Where you fall within the compensation range is based on how you demonstrate the attributes and competencies required for the role. We mostly reserve the upper portion of our compensation bands for internal growth.)

**Location:**Remote, located in greater Portland, Oregon metro area preferred
*Must live and be able to work in the United States.
**Travel:**Minimum travel requirement of 1 week, every other month. Other travel may occur.
Areas of Responsibility Could Include:
Executive Support
- Prepare the CEO for internal and external meetings, through research, talking points and slide decks.
- Anticipate CEO and organizational needs and offer the CEO support where needed.
- Track the CEO’s and organizational initiatives, in partnership with internal team, to ensure successful completion.
- Extend the CEO’s capacity by identifying routine matters that can be delegated, allowing leadership to focus on high-level strategy.
- Research and synthesize information to facilitate informed decision-making
- Provide other administrative support for the CEO as needed which could include travel logistics, calendar support, etc.
Business Operations Support
- Process expense reports and coordinate with Bookkeeper for budget preparation and reconciliation
- Track and file organizational registrations and annual reports in states, as needed
- Partner with accounting firm to successfully complete annual 990
- Update and maintain CRM with executive’s meetings with external stakeholders and donors
HR support
- Partner with CEO to ensure HR compliance across states where operating
- Develop best practices for hiring and onboarding
- Partner with CEO to develop and implement best practices for staff care
Education and Experience:
- 5+ years as an Executive Assistant supporting C-level or Senior Executives, experience in nonprofits and/or mission-driven environments preferred.
- Familiarity with supporting Senior Executives in technology, data or research, preferred.
- Demonstrated experience building EA practices, processes, rhythms and tools from the ground-up.
- Exceptional organizational skills with an extreme attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience building strong relationships with the executive and team.
- Familiarity and comfort in a work environment where faith-based organizations and individuals are present and part of the day-to-day programing and operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Demonstrated experience as a proactive, self-starter
- Demonstrated technical experience with workplace technology including Microsoft Office Suite and tools such as Notion, Slack and Airtable.
