Summary
The Business Development Associate, Clinic contributes to the long-term sustainability of Martin Bionics by coordinating the development and maintenance of positive relationships with Patient Care referral sources in the local markets where the company has a clinical care presence (Austin, Dallas, Oklahoma City, & Tampa). Working closely with the Manager of Clinic Sales, this role will help design and execute a strategy for relationship management (e.g., prospecting, contacting, and then cultivating) with leading referral sources. Additionally, this role will support the company's marketing effort, conducting patient interviews documenting our impact.
Primary Duties
Business Development
- Identify key referral sources (e.g., VA's, primary care physicians, orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, physical medicine and rehab physicians, workers compensation & nurse case managers) in local markets surrounding our owned and operated clinic locations.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with key referral sources, ensuring an ongoing awareness of our product and service offerings via regular check-ins, following up with patient delivery photos when applicable.
- Coordinate in-services between referral sources and local, Martin Bionics Clinic Managers/Prosthetists.
- Address concerns and resolve pain points from referral sources in a professional manner, using discretion to escalate issues to leadership when warranted.
- Attend and network at tradeshows, conferences, and industry events that offer the opportunity to increase our reach and build fruitful relationships.
Marketing
- Screen, film, and photograph patients and other key stakeholders in various settings (e.g., seated interview, in-fitting process b-roll), maintaining professionalism and respecting patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team on existing referral-source collateral inventory and new collateral development.
Record-Keeping & Reporting
- Build and maintain a well-organized CRM database, including verified business and contact information as well as an activity log with detailed notes.
- Assist the Marketing team in maintaining an organized catalog of captured media assets, tagging footage and photos appropriately for easy retrieval.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field required.
- Extensive experience in business development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, monday.com, and CRM database structures; exposure to multiple CRM software platforms a plus.
Travel
- Significant travel involved (≥ 80% depending on location).
- Attend industry conferences (4-6 per year).
Evaluation
- Regular, informal one-on-one meetings with supervisor for bi-directional feedback
- Formal performance review to take place annually with supervisor
