Hiinga is a Christ-Centered Impact Investing Fund focused on investing in East African entrepreneurs, particularly in the 'Missing Middle' sector. The organization aims to create jobs and bridge the gap between poverty and wealth by providing loans complemented with business training, coaching, and Christian discipleship. Since its inception in 2017, Hiinga has financed over 250 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across sectors such as agribusiness, education, healthcare, and manufacturing, directly employing over 5,000 individuals and impacting tens of thousands more. With a goal to catalyze the employment of 100,000 workers in the next five years, Hiinga positions itself as a sustainable solution to the unemployment crisis in Africa, leveraging impact investing to create measurable outcomes in communities.
