Responsibilities Include:

• Partner with front-end engineers to contribute new features to the Node + Postgres back-end that powers the Flaire web app
• Ensure that our back end systems are performant, scalable, and reliable
• Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle
• Produce well-designed, testable, and efficient code
• Make sure that our travelers have a seamless experience using Flaire
• Emerge as a key player on our team, collaborating with the Head of Engineering and Head of Product

Skills and Experience:

• 3-7 years of back-end development experience, preferably in an early stage start-up environment
• Experience using Typescript, Node.js, and Postgres in production applications
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a track record of delivering high-quality applications
• Commitment to balancing quality, speed, and collaboration to hit deadlines
• Experience architecting clear and concise backend systems
• Software engineering or equivalent degree
• Personal travel experience + enthusiasm

Bonus Points:

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Firebase
• Experience with consumer, social, and / or travel tech
• This role is fully remote but bonus points if you’re local and can join our weekly lunches at classic favs + new hot spots around Atlanta :)
