Position & Description
The Operations Director (Integrator) is responsible for harmonizing and managing the daily operations of ChangingGears. This role ensures alignment with our mission & vision, implements our processes, and achieves organizational goals, all while embodying our values. The Operations Director (Integrator) partners with the Executive Director (Visionary) to achieve strategic objectives and maintain operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities
Operations Management
• Executes the business plan, achieving or exceeding planned budget activities.
• Integrates all major operating functions of the organization.
• Collaborates with the Visionary and stays on the same page.
• Possesses an ability to filter and translate Visionary’s ideas into functional plans
for the organization.
Team Leadership
• Leads, manages and holds the leadership team accountable for achieving agreed-upon commitments.
• Demonstrates a relentless obsession with values alignment, focus, simplicity, and clarity.
• Ensures everyone is rowing together in the same direction.
• Facilitates regular team meetings to ensure alignment, address issues, and
maintain traction.
• Confirms all key messages are properly and consistently cascaded across the
organization.
Issues Resolution
• Resolves issues effectively – using the EOS Issue Solving Track (IDS) to address
challenges and keep teams on track.
• Comfortable with conflict, calling out the real problems, and solving problems in a
practical and healthy manner.
Processes Implementation
• Ensures that everyone is truly following and adhering to our core processes and operating system with consistency.
• Continuously evaluates and improves our core processes.
Job Requirements
Experience and Skills
• Proven experience in an operational or leadership role (Integrator experience preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams, drive results, and implement processes.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Experience with the EOS framework is a plus.
Personal Qualities
• Passionate about the mission and vision of ChangingGears.
• Conduct consistent with the values of ChangingGears.
• Ability to maintain focus, prioritize tasks, and drive operational goals.
• Effective communicator with the ability to lead and inspire teams.
Technical Skills
• Proficiency in Google Apps, Salesforce, and general office software.
• Familiarity with business management tools, metrics tracking, and reporting.
Time Commitment
• Full-Time or Part-Time
• Hours are generally Monday through Friday between 8 AM and 5 PM.
• Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required for special events or meetings.
• One overnight offsite for annual leadership team meeting
• Reports to: Executive Director
