Position Summary:
The Bakery Production is responsible for the preparation, baking, and
finishing of a wide range of bakery products, including breads, pastries,
cakes, cookies, and other baked goods. This role requires a keen eye for
detail, a passion for baking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced
environment while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
The Bakery Production will be involved in managing the production
process, ensuring that all baked goods are prepared in accordance with
recipes, company standards, and food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Production & Baking:
● Prepare and bake a variety of bakery products, including bread,
rolls, cakes, pastries, cookies, and specialty items.
● Follow detailed recipes and production schedules to ensure
consistency and high-quality output.
● Ensure that all baked goods are properly portioned, shaped,
and finished to meet company standards.
2. Recipe Development & Innovation:
● Assist in the development and testing of new bakery items,
flavors, and products based on customer demand and seasonal
trends.
● Innovate new products and improve existing recipes while
maintaining consistency and quality.
● Adjust recipes to accommodate dietary preferences (e.g.,
gluten-free, vegan) as required by customer needs.
3. Quality Control:
● Monitor the quality of raw materials and ingredients to ensure
they meet company standards.
● Perform quality checks during the production process to ensure
that all products are consistent in flavor, texture, and
appearance.
● Manage the presentation of products to ensure they meet the
required visual standards before being displayed or sold.
4. Production Planning & Organization:
● Assist in planning daily production schedules based on
customer orders, sales forecasts, and inventory needs.
● Ensure efficient use of time, ingredients, and equipment during
production to minimize waste and maximize output.
● Manage and maintain baking equipment, ensuring it is properly
cleaned, calibrated, and in good working order.

5. Food Safety & Hygiene:
● Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all
equipment, tools, and surfaces are sanitized regularly.
● Comply with all health and safety regulations, ensuring the safe
handling, storage, and disposal of ingredients and products.
● Follow proper food safety standards and best practices to
minimize the risk of contamination and ensure quality.
6. Inventory Management:
● Monitor stock levels of ingredients and packaging materials,
ordering supplies when necessary.
● Maintain proper stock rotation to ensure that all ingredients are
used before their expiry dates.
● Work with management to forecast ingredient needs and
ensure timely deliveries.
Team Collaboration:
● Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth
production flow, especially during busy periods.
● Train and mentor junior bakers or assistants, providing
guidance and feedback on their work.
● Collaborate with the sales and front-of-house teams to
ensure customer orders are fulfilled in a timely manner.
Customer Focus & Custom Orders:
● Prepare custom bakery orders for clients, including cakes,
pastries, and bread items for special occasions like
weddings, birthdays, and events.
● Provide recommendations to customers regarding
products, ingredients, and dietary needs.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Culinary certification in baking and pastry, or equivalent
hands-on experience in a bakery environment.
