Position Summary:
The Finance Officer is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the
organization, ensuring financial transactions are recorded and reported accurately,
managing budgets, and assisting with the overall financial management and
decision-making process. The role requires strong attention to detail, a solid
understanding of financial principles, and the ability to work effectively with various
teams within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting:
● Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including balance sheets, profit
and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
● Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for
management and stakeholders.

○ Review and reconcile financial discrepancies and ensure compliance with
financial policies and regulations.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting:
○ Assist in the preparation and monitoring of departmental and
organizational budgets.
○ Track and report budget variances, providing explanations and
recommending corrective actions.
○ Support financial forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with
organizational goals and strategies.
3. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
○ Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely
and accurate invoicing and payments.
○ Reconcile accounts and follow up on overdue payments from clients and
vendors.
○ Ensure proper documentation and authorization for financial transactions.
4. Cash Flow Management:
○ Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for daily operations.
○ Manage petty cash and track daily expenses.
○ Support treasury operations as required.
5. Compliance and Internal Controls:
○ Assist in ensuring compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and
corporate governance standards.
○ Support audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors and
regulatory bodies.
○ Help maintain and implement effective internal controls to safeguard
financial assets.
6. Financial Systems and Software:
○ Use accounting software and ERP systems to record, track, and report
financial data.
○ Assist with system upgrades or changes, ensuring proper integration and
functionality.
7. Financial Analysis:
○ Conduct basic financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
○ Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data trends and
reports.
8. Liaison with Other Departments:
○ Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insight and support
in operational decision-making.
○ Assist in providing financial data for project planning, cost analysis, and
other strategic initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications:
● Education: Bachelor’s / Diploma degree in Finance, Accounting, Business
Administration, or a related field.
● Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably
in a similar industry.
● Technical Skills:
○ Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or other ERP
systems).
○ Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, budgeting, and
reporting.
● Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and present insights clearly
and concisely.
● Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial
data processing.
● Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability
to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
● Problem Solving: Strong critical thinking skills to identify and resolve financial
discrepancies or issues.
● Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a
fast-paced environment.
