Position Summary:

The HR Officer is responsible for providing a wide range of human

resources support to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the HR

department. This role involves recruitment, employee relations,

performance management, compliance, and general administrative tasks.

The HR Officer will work closely with the Director of human resource

,communities administrative officers , Community directors, and the admin

team to foster a positive work environment and assist in the development

of HR policies and procedures that align with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment & Onboarding:

○ Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including posting

job ads, reviewing applications, interviewing candidates, and

assisting in the selection process.

○ Conduct reference checks and coordinate new hire

documentation.

○ Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring new employees are

properly integrated into the organization and familiarized with

company policies and procedures.

2. Employee Records Management:

○ Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records, both

digitally and in hard copy.

○ Ensure compliance with legal requirements regarding employee

documentation and data privacy.

3. Employee Relations:

○ Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and

grievances, providing guidance and support when needed.

○ Assist in resolving conflicts and promoting a positive working

environment.

○ Support managers with employee performance issues,

coaching, and providing advice on disciplinary actions when

required.

4. Training & Development:

○ Identify training needs and coordinate employee development

programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

○ Assist in organizing workshops, seminars, and other learning

opportunities for staff.

○ Support succession planning and career development

initiatives.

5. Performance Management:

○ Assist in the implementation and management of the

performance appraisal process.

○ Help managers in setting performance objectives and providing

feedback to employees.

○ Ensure that performance reviews are conducted timely and in

accordance with company guidelines.

6. Compensation & Benefits:

○ Assist in payroll processing and ensure accurate employee

compensation information.

○ Support the management of employee benefits programs (e.g.,

health insurance, retirement plans).

○ Respond to employee inquiries regarding compensation,

benefits, and HR policies.

7. Compliance and Legal Requirements:

○ Stay updated on labor laws and employment regulations to

ensure the organization’s HR policies are compliant.

○ Assist in maintaining records related to employee contracts,

leave entitlements, and legal documentation.

○ Coordinate health and safety initiatives, ensuring compliance

with workplace regulations.

8. HR Administration:

○ Provide general administrative support to the HR department,

including managing HR documentation, preparing reports, and

maintaining the Human Resource Information System

○ Process and track employee leave (sick leave, vacation, etc.)

and ensure accurate recordkeeping.

9. Culture & Engagement:

○ Support initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement,

retention, and satisfaction.

○ Organize team-building activities, employee recognition

programs, and company events.

○ Assist in fostering a positive workplace culture aligned with

company values.
