Position Summary:

The Barber is responsible for providing professional barbering services to

clients, including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and hair treatments. The

role requires expertise in traditional and modern barbering techniques, with

a focus on delivering excellent customer service and building long-term

client relationships. The Barber will also maintain a clean, hygienic, and

welcoming environment within the salon.

Key Responsibilities

1. Hair Cutting & Styling:

● Provide a variety of haircutting services, including fades, trims, buzz

cuts, and traditional cuts.

● Offer advice on haircuts and styles tailored to the client’s preferences,

face shape, and lifestyle.

● Perform detailed grooming, including edging, lining, and designing.

2. Shaving & Beard Grooming:

● Perform hot towel shaves, straight razor shaves, and beard trims,

ensuring the highest level of grooming precision.

● Offer styling and shaping services for beards and mustaches,

including the use of clippers, scissors, and razors.

● Provide advice on beard care and recommend products suited to

different beard types.

3. Client Consultation:

● Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their

preferences, hair and beard care routines, and any specific

requests.

● Educate clients on suitable hair and beard styles, as well as tips

for maintaining their looks at home.

● Provide professional recommendations based on client hair

type, skin type, and personal style.

4. Customer Service:

● Ensure an exceptional customer experience by offering friendly,

professional, and attentive service.

● Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage

repeat business and referrals.

● Address client concerns or complaints in a professional manner to

ensure satisfaction.

5. Salon Hygiene & Maintenance:

● Maintain cleanliness and organization of your workstation and all

tools, including razors, clippers, and scissors.

● Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring that all equipment

is sanitized and stored properly.

● Ensure the salon environment remains clean, comfortable, and

welcoming for clients.

6. Sales & Product Promotion:

● Promote and sell barbering products, such as hair care, grooming

products, and shaving tools.

● Advise clients on the best products for their hair and beard types,

helping them achieve and maintain their desired looks at home.

● Inform clients about new services, promotions, or salon events to

drive additional sales.

7. Team Collaboration:

● Work as part of a team to ensure smooth operation of the salon and

optimal client service.

● Assist colleagues during busy periods, offering support in managing

clients and maintaining salon operations.

● Share knowledge, techniques, and tips with fellow barbers to foster a

collaborative work environment.

8. Professional Development:

● Stay updated on the latest barbering trends, tools, and techniques.

● Participate in ongoing training or workshops to improve skills and stay

competitive in the industry.

● Ensure that all certifications and licenses are kept up to date, as

required by local regulations.
