Position Summary: A sonographer carries out scan tests and check ups for the patients

in accordance to the clinical officer’s request. He/she works directly with the clinical

officer and reports to both the clinical officer and the clinic administrator.

Position Details

● Full Time

● Based in one community but some travel required

● Contract negotiations and renewals are yearly

● Reports to the clinic administrator

Role Responsibilities

● Performing diagnostic imaging procedures: sonographers use specialized

equipment to perform ultrasound examinations on patients.which involve

capturing images of internal organs, tissues, ans blood flow patterns using

high-freque

● Capturing images of internal organs

● Explaining procedures to patients

● Analyzing images for quality and accuracy and collaborating with other medical

professionals to provide diagnostic information

● Prioritizing patients to complete all scheduled appointments and allow for

emergency procedures

● Monitoring the ultrasound equipment and supplies and ensuring there are

sufficient supplies by submitting purchasing requests proactively

● Analyzing and reporting the results to doctors

● Handling phone calls from patients and doctors to answer technical questions and

offer pre-procedure guidance

● Making and handing in of reports, weekly and monthly, to the respective persons

in time

● Any other duties may be assigned to you from time to time as need may arise

Position Qualifications

● Diploma or degree in sonography or a related field and obtained a certificate from

a recognized institution

● Proven working experience as a sonographer

● Excellent team player and good at creating team work

● Technical skills to operate the equipment and interpret images accurately

● Strong communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals
